  • Time ford not stand still

I believe every one of us has expressed the desired and go back in time and change something. But Trey has definitely brought up good points about doing that, in that changing one thing would change everything. It definitely gets my mind to thinking. I love his podcast His thoughtfulness about the subjects he talks about and the sin that he is overall a good human being.

  • Always a good education !

Always come away learning something from your show. Thank you for expanding my civics education.

Also Trey, I have a question. Is it true that judges do not need a law degree or have to pass the bar exam??

  • Judges

Totally enjoy your opinions. I have a question about how on earth can I vote for judges now that I realize how corrupt they can be by not following laws. How can over judges I’m suppose to vote on in the elections. It seems the only info I get about them is points on a postcard. How should I vet them?

  • Trey Gowty

I never miss one of your shows and I love them all. I do have a question though. Why do you always say that you don’t have any presence on social media, yet you have an Instagram account? We don’t manage it yourself. But you can’t truthfully say that trey Gowdy does not have a presence on social media. Thank you.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Senator James Lankford: A Conversation on Policy and Faith
Q: How do ethics function within the Senate, and what kinds of actions can ethics take against members?
Ethics in the Senate is a bipartisan body that can issue letters, admonitions, or censures and may make recommendations for removal, but cannot prosecute; the real enforcement comes from the voters and the rest of the Senate, which keeps the process behind the scenes unless necessary.
Senator James Lankford: A Conversation on Policy and Faith
Q: Tell us about the congressional approach to intelligence oversight and the role of the DNI in coordinating intelligence across agencies.
The guest explains that the DNI was created to coordinate a fragmented intelligence community, but many lawmakers question whether the bureau should exist at all or be reorganized to improve actual intelligence work rather than paperwork, with a preference for returning more responsibilities back to the CIA and NSA.
Q & Trey: Do Endorsements Truly Move The Needle?
Q: What advice would you give to a voter on how they can be informed?
Know yourself and your priorities, read widely with a jaundiced eye, cross-examine sources like a prosecutor, and avoid relying on campaign ads as the sole source of truth.
Q & Trey: Do Endorsements Truly Move The Needle?
Q: What did you think about the South Carolina election results?
I think endorsements used to matter less, but the Trump endorsements in recent races showed that a high-profile figure can significantly influence outcomes, though effects still depend on the local political landscape and the candidate's overall appeal.
An Inside Guide to Running for Speaker of the House
Q: When can people read the eyewitness account and what should they expect to learn from it?
The book provides a historical perspective on the Speakership crisis, offers personal anecdotes, and aims to help readers understand the mechanics of leadership, the weight of the gavel, and lessons for future governance.
