Honestly, I’m not the biggest VGC person, but this podcast is pretty fun. I like having stuff to listen to while I draw, and this always fits the bill. I always enjoy listening to :)
Really good information on competitive Pokémon. Hosts are knowledgeable and seem nice people. Love this pod even though I have only been listening for a couple of months. Go to Pokémon podcast along with Pokésports.
i don’t agree with every single take the hosts have but it’s a generally informative pod about the VGC metagame
Show is great. Carl is amazing. Carter is okay I guess.

I have just recently come back to Pokémon as a franchise for the first time since I was a teenager. I was so excited that the competitive scene had continued to grow, and set about looking for resources and podcasts to learn from. Boy oh boy, I cannot recommend this show high enough. The hosts are friendly, knowledgable, and engaging, and the content is fantastic. I’m learning so much, and having an absolute blast while doing so. Thank you so much for such an incredible show!!!

Episodes cover major regionals, evolving cores, and the impact of regulatory changes (like open team sheets and new formats) on strategy and scouting. A recurring strength is practical, build-focused analysis paired with real-world event observations, plus frequent nods to community resources, coverage quality, and coaching-style insights. Noteworthy is the consistent emphasis on evolving Megas, Paradox-era strategies, and the balance between power and flexibility in a fast-shifting meta, which should appeal to players aiming to improve their ladder and tournament performance while st... more
