  • Matthew Rushing is abysmal

How can you be a Star Trek fan AND a right-winger? It's truly disappointing.

  • Books and Comics Positivity

This is a great show for discussion, interviews, news, and commentary about Star Trek books and comics. The hosts, while always giving their actual takes on the material, try to find the goodness in whatever they review and do not take pleasure in bashing anything. There is a good sense of humor present in the episodes, too.

  • Good TOS and TNG books reviews.

This is a solid podcast with two guys the clearly like Trek and are enjoyable to listen too. My only main issue is they are heavily focused on ToS and TNG books/content. They hardly ever touch on other series like Voyager and DS9. Would be nice if they covered Trek books more broadly.

Go with the Flow
Q: How do you go about crafting the story to fit the confines of what's going on the air, but also not mess up anything and also try to be original at the same time?
Mack explains that he was given final draft scripts from Season 3 of Strange New Worlds, which allowed him to identify a usable gap in the timeline for his story. This insight helped him build character arcs that would both align with the ongoing series and introduce fresh storylines.
395: I Get Paid for This?
Q: What excites you about the future of Star Trek novels?
Scott is particularly excited about developing new books with authors and the upcoming titles being worked on.
395: I Get Paid for This?
Q: How do you balance being both a writer and an editor?
Scott shares that he can usually switch between the two roles without much difficulty as they engage different parts of creativity.
395: I Get Paid for This?
Q: Can you describe your day-to-day work as an editor?
Scott explains that he collaborates with authors from the initial pitch through manuscript revision and approval processes.
394: The Chekov Book
Q: How does it feel to have redeemed that episode and made it better, I guess, in hindsight?
Greg reflects on how the body swap technology inspired him to explore themes of identity and redemption, distancing the new story from the criticisms of the original episode, Turnabout Intruder.
