I am an obesity medicine specialist… the quote that “for patients who are using this to lose only 15-20 lbs, it’s probably not appropriate” is ignorant and simplistic. I specialize in the south Asian and East Asian population and 15-20 lbs can be a lot for a patient who’s height is 58 inches. To use a GLPs as a jumpstart doesn’t go deep into the science of obesity. You should have someone who is board certified in Obesity Medicine in your team at MiORa - you might get a different take.

  • Podcasting is an uphill battle, just like fitness

I think this effort makes sense (probably in coordination with YouTube).

The electrolytes episode was impressive as were other episodes.

LifeTime has alot of reconition as fitness experts, which lends itself well to producing this show. Now would be an excellent time for LifeTime to exit the alcohol business to solidify its reputation as a reolutute vendor of fitness services and advice!

  • More Lifetime Live/Work episodes please :-)

Thanks - I thought this was amazing, so amazing that I had to drive 5 hours to see the Lifetime Sienna location for myself. The LT Work lounge was done so beautifully. What an incredible project. My first time ever visiting an LT work location, visiting a LT Living location is next. I wish there were Lifetime Live/Work episodes like this.

  • From a lifetime founding member

Not five minutes into this podcast which is supposed to be about health, fitness & lifestyle the hosts starred in on DEI.

Affectively hate speech against anybody. That is not a person of color. I pay my dues at lifetime just like everybody else why should I be excluded from events because of the color of my skin.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S12 E28: Supplements to Support Your Energy With Samantha McKinney, RD, CPT
Q: What are some common reasons that people are experiencing low energy?
Common causes include blood sugar swings, thyroid issues, mood disorders like anxiety or depression, poor circadian rhythm and sleep hygiene, and nutrient deficiencies. The point is to build from foundational factors—sleep, exercise, protein intake, and blood sugar balance—before assuming supplements are the solution.
S12 E29: All About Allulose With Dr. Richard Johnson (Sponsored)
Q: Can allulose replace insulin or reduce the need for it in diabetes management?
There is some preliminary evidence that allulose can dampen glucose spikes and may allow for a reduced insulin dose in insulin-treated individuals, but it is not a substitute; more controlled studies are needed.
S12 E29: All About Allulose With Dr. Richard Johnson (Sponsored)
Q: What makes allulose different from other sugar substitutes?
Allulose looks like fructose but is not metabolized by the same enzymes, so it provides sweetness with minimal impact on blood glucose and without triggering the same insulin response as regular sugar; it may also enhance GLP-1 and satiety.
S12 E23: Peptides, Stem Cells, Exosomes, and More: A Look at Advanced Therapy Options With Jim LaValle, RPh, CCN (Performance & Longevity Series)
Q: But what are peptides and kind of just in general, why are they important for health potentially?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that serve as signals to direct healing, energy production, and cellular function, with many well-known examples like glutathione acting as a peptide; they can influence how your body repairs and regenerates.
S12 E24: Pickleball is Here to Stay: A Conversation With Pickleball Pro Andy Peeke
Q: What portion of pickleball's growth do you attribute to community and social aspects?
He highlights social events, going-away parties, birthdays, and tournaments as critical in building lasting engagement and keeping players coming back to the courts.
