nice flow of very interesting exchanges and life stories, can really recommend
Intimate, fascinating conversations with memoirists about their stories and the experience of transforming often raw and heartbreaking life events into prose. As an aspiring memoirist I have learned so much from this podcast. The host does a great job drawing out very universal themes in these books. I only wish the episodes came out more frequently!
I was very skeptical about this podcast at first, but am now a devoted fan. The guests are fascinating, the discussions intriguing and all of the highest quality. Well done and very interesting.
Life Stories delivers a rewarding meditation-in-profile of the art of memoir and its practitioners. Host Ron Hogan and guest writers share stories that offer expert insights into the Why and How of writing from life along with a chance for readers to hear memoirists speak off the page. In this podcast, the sound of Dani Shapiro's voice adds a comforting, inspiring dimension to her story. Great stuff for book-lovers and fans of 21st century autobiography.
