My flesh has a mind of its own, and becoming a Christian does not stop the flow of thoughts coming out of that mind. Sadly, it keeps generating bad attitudes, passions and images as long as I live. The good news is it won't be there after I'm resurre... more
One of the greatest crises of Christianity is that we've lost our understanding of how to actually do what Paul Is teaching in this passage of Romans. I'm not exaggerating! By and large over most of the past 2,000 years church leaders have tried to m... more

As a Japanese pastor who doesn’t have any formal biblical education, this podcast has been my Bible college class! Thank you,Pastor Steve for your teachings!
I continue to return to these messages for a grounded, Biblically solid, and humble reminder of the beauty and goodness of God and the gospel. In listening to Pastor Steve I am encouraged on in my own study and faith, I am reminded of Biblical truths that are critical to my daily walk, and I am encouraged by the clear and deliberate presentation of the gospel through exegetical teaching.

In his excerpt on baptism it is clear he believes one cannot be saved simply by faith alone in Christ alone but must DO many other things such as, life commitment, surrender their lives, follow him, proof of a changed heart, etc… this is well intended, but nonetheless a works salvation doctrine.
While I agree these c... more

Long-form sermons rooted in verse-by-verse Bible teaching, with a strong emphasis on Romans and other biblical books. Episodes consistently unpack doctrinal themes such as grace, repentance, holiness, and the transforming power of the gospel, often weaving personal anecdotes and practical applications for daily faith. The host blends pastoral exhortation with exegetical rigor, aiming to equip committed Christians for discipleship, ministry, and mission, while weaving in historical and theological context to illuminate timeless truths. The approach tends to be devotional, doctrine-forward, and pastoral in t... more
