  • Important!

RoJo said his son asked if he had an important job. And then he proceeded to identify what he considered important jobs. Doctor was on that list. As an urgent care doctor, please know when I come home from a busy demanding chaotic shift, putting on a let’s run podcast and going for a jog is a hugely beneficial and important distraction from my important job. I love my job and I was born to do it. One of the factors that keeps me loving that job is engaging in hobbies. My favorite hobby - listeni... more

  • The best podcast for serious running fans

Put simply if you’re a serious fan of competitive track and field or road running, there is no better podcast out there! Gault and the BroJos cover every topic, have depths of knowledge, and love a good bit of banter or a searing hot take. The athlete interviews are also second to none going way beyond the usual, basic questions. Again, this is head and shoulders above any other running podcast!

  • Have Some Enthusiasm!

I have tried listening to this podcast a couple of times, but the amount of dead air in between people talking makes me think something is wrong with the podcast. The complete lack of enthusiasm and monotone voices when they’re talking about everything doesn’t make me excited to listen to the podcast either. It’s like they’re reading off of a script. Show some excitement for running and that will make me excited to hear what you’re saying.

  • Knowledgeable, entertaining, funny

Jonathan Gault and the Johnson twins are dialed into all things running, they discuss some controversial topics within the sport that some other sports journalists are afraid to, they have some entertaining arguments, bring on great guests, and are clearly very knowledgeable on what they talk about and keep you up to date on all the latest news from around the world of running.

    Favorite running podcast.

Pre Preview, Kenny Bednarek (guest) + Lutkenhaus AR?, loaded Bowerman Mile, Kipyegon returns
Q: How do you view the role of brand/storytelling and opportunities like Grand Slam Track in shaping an athlete's career?
Bednarek argues that brands and storytelling can humanize athletes, help secure livable wages, and create broader fan engagement, citing Grand Slam Track as a platform that provided visibility and income opportunities.
Pre Preview, Kenny Bednarek (guest) + Lutkenhaus AR?, loaded Bowerman Mile, Kipyegon returns
Q: What's your approach to recovery and longevity at this level, and how do you integrate new recovery tools?

Pre Preview, Kenny Bednarek (guest) + Lutkenhaus AR?, loaded Bowerman Mile, Kipyegon returns
Q: How many 100m races do you feel you need to run to get into a good rhythm, and how does that shape your schedule this season?
Bednarek explains that typically 1-2 races are used to shed rust and establish rhythm before settling into peak performance, with a third race helping to cement execution; the broader strategy balances performance with sponsorship and travel considerations.
Nuguse Wins, Stockholm Showdown Set, Cooper's DL Debut & Tyler Andrews on Mt. Everest Record
Q: What makes the Everest ascent so technically challenging beyond raw fitness?
Andrews outlines the combination of extreme altitude, weather variability, gear reliability, route logistics, crowd management on the mountain, and the need for a precise daily plan that makes speed climbs uniquely difficult.
How Tyler Andrews Smashed the Everest Speed Record by an Hour Using Double Thresholds
Q: What were the biggest challenges and the key factors that made the record possible this time around?
A complex confluence of weather windows, reduced crowding on the route, top-notch logistics, high-quality equipment, and the athlete's peak fitness and adaptation to extreme altitude all aligned this season, enabling the climb to succeed where previous attempts failed.
