Great podcast! As a Cheer Dad, wish I would have stumbled across this, when my daughter was 4 years old and couldn’t attend all the time due to work. Now she is 21 and have attended more comps then ever and this pod still gives me knowledge as a parent. Love it!
As a new cheer mom, I LOVE the LTC podcast!!! I have 7th grader who is a 1st year MS cheerleader + Prep and an 8yo who is a flyer on a mini 1 Elite team at a local D2 gym. I felt completely overwhelmed with everything I didn’t know/understand about this cheer world but between The Cheer Mom Blog podcast (this is how I found LTC) and LTC I feel like I know what is going on now. I went back and literally binged all the old episodes 🤣 I love hearing from the coaches perspective but also perspectiv... more
I’m a cheer coach from California Spirit Elite! I love to listen to this podcast on commute to coach. It sets me in the right headspace, while making me think about to topics you guys talk about and how I can be a better coach. Keep them coming!
I know absolutely nothing about the sport, but my 5-year-old daughter is loving cheer so far. We were lucky enough to find a gym here in northern IL close by that has some prep and elite teams. Listened to a few episodes and have been following on the IG for a bit. Thanks for all the effort put in to helping parents understand some of the terminology, competitive landscape, and what all goes into a good program. Feeling a little more confident going into her first competition soon!
I recommend this podcast for the parents in my gym all the time. Jason is so relatable and while we may not compete with any of the same companies or even the same types of gyms, he has valuable information and entertaining podcasts every time! Definitely worth the download!
