Megan and Beau are back to talk two new chapters of God Emperor of Dune in which Duncan's misogyny is only second to Leto II's Homophobia, and the rest of us are all just along for this uncomfortable ride. Between the BBQ, trips to Paris, and more th... more

I love this podcast. I’m only 23 episodes in, but I listen every week and love the entertaining and unique perspective that Megan and Beau have on the weird(ing) world of Dune. This podcast often makes me laugh out loud and it makes doing my chores so much more fun. I learn a lot from the pop culture references that go far beyond Dune . This podcast even got me excited about Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series. Megan and Beau deserve a medal for getting so far into the series. I’ll keep listeni... more
I was recommended this show because I was looking for a Dune podcast that was simultaneously insightful, entertaining, and that didn’t acknowledge the Brian Herbert fanfics. I have not been disappointed.
I’ve tried listening to several podcasts about Dune and this is by far the best. The hosts are funny and charismatic, and as I don’t know to many people like that in my real life it’s a real treat when they put out a new episode.
Hopefully they continue the show through at least the original series, I can not wait to hear what they have to say about the last couple of books.
I’m having a blast reading along with you ladies and hearing your thoughts on the book (and many other things!) after each chapter. I’m looking forward to continuing to listen and tackling the sequels for the first time!
Frank Herbert is very unique for making a book series where each has a very fulfilling ending: You can read it as a novel, a trilogy, whatever you want. An it'll be perfectly accommodating as any of those.
With that in mind, this is easily the most entertaining podcast I've heard. I first found them a month ago when I listened to their first chapter of Messiah, where they clearly said 'this is bad, we don't like this, its insulting'. I figured they just stopped. But then I saw a year... more
Informative, insightful and hilarious! Love these two !
A friend recommended the podcast to me and as I was picking Children of Dune and instantly fell in love with it. It’s like sitting down with good friends and chatting about the series. The hosts are insightful, relatable, witty, and amusing. Highly enjoyable!
Repeat: I 👏 love 👏 this 👏 podcast 👏 Thank you Megan and Beau for making it! Love the insightful Dune commentary, random tangents, and ESPECIALLY the Dark Tower bonus episodes... more of those soon I hope! 5 stars. Top notch. Highly recommend. 😁
If you want to hear Dune chapter discussions look elsewhere. I think they may eventually mention Dune but they often distract themselves with uninteresting tangents about other pop culture properties and try to make jokes that simply don’t land.
Last year, I started reading the book series, and soon after I hoped for a solid podcast that would analyze the writing in depth, chapter by chapter. At first, this podcast did that well, but by the time they got halfway through the first book the hosts lost momentum. Some hour-long episodes would be only a few minutes of analysis intertwined with trivial complaints (they spent several minutes scoffing that a planet is called “Ix” because it’s the 9th planet — that’s maybe worth a quick mention ... more
I was looking for a podcast that discusses Dune chapter by chapter so I can reread and be ready for the new movie. Preferably discussed by witty women with rotating guests. So... perfection. I really hope the podcast continues to discuss as many Dune books as possible. I’m currently way behind on reading and I’d love to catch up. Thanks for this!!’
Great summary and explanation by female podcasters :)
Delightful, well considered dune podcast with two lovely hosts! Megan and Beau are so good and funny and really know when to criticise and compliment dune. They have a very balanced and interesting discussion as well as being very fun and occasionally lustful after Oscar Isaac. Love the show!

Do you love dune but wish there was a chapter by chapter breakdown of what/who in the book is racist? Then this is the podcast for you!! That aside I love everything else about this pod. The hosts vibe so well together and I for one am unabashedly pro- people who are unabashedly pro-jessica. My fingers are crossed that more people listen and the show continues to heretics and chapterhouse (the two best books in my humble opinion).
