We is Daniel Maté (award-winning musical theatre lyricist, composer, co-author of the NYT bestselling "The Myth of Normal", so-called mental chiropractor) and Carice van Houten (Emmy-nominated as Melisandre from "Game of Thrones", also seen in "Dangerous Liaisons" on Starz, Paul Verhoeven's "Bl... more

A great concept, as far as I know a novel one. It’s helped me really dig in deeper to the songs I enjoy and opened my eyes to others that I would have never come across otherwise.
It was very inspirational and I ended up listening to new music in a new way.
Daniel is a master at lyrical analysis, and Carice expertly deep dives into each lyric. Ultimately each balances the other in terms of their analyses and emotional journeys through a range of lyrics across genres. I love how the music is sampled and they skip around to many songs in a discussion of one. I can’t wait for more episodes.
