#449 Metal circulation, sensitivities, binder types, post CV histamine with Christopher Shade, PhD
Q: What is IMD and how does it differ from other binders?
IMD is a heavy-metal binder designed with silica-based surface area and thiol chemistry to specifically bind mercury. It works in conjunction with drainage strategies to pull metals through the liver-bile-GI axis rather than pushing them through the kidneys alone, reducing Herx-like reactions.
#449 Metal circulation, sensitivities, binder types, post CV histamine with Christopher Shade, PhD
Q: Tell us your mercury story and how it led to a new detox model.
I had 17 amalgams removed in a single sitting using chelators, which initially worsened my energy. I realized that bypassing drainage and liver/GI pathways caused recirculation of mercury, so I shifted to a liver- and GI-centered approach, opened drainage pathways, and developed IMD and binder strategies that could effectively move mercury out.
#444 Breaking the Migraine Cycle: Patterns, Triggers, and Regulation Tools with Diane Ducarme
Q: How did you get into working with migraines and what is your origin story?
Diane shares a personal journey starting with a life-threatening injury, a pivotal experience with traditional Chinese medicine in Shanghai, and a shift from treating symptoms to addressing root causes, which led to the Migraine Heroes platform.
