  • To Adelle Onyango my absolute Idol. 🤩

When Adele left her job at kiss 100 . I felt like we (Kenyans) would never have so many deep conversations but this is a great outlet especially for someone like me. But the main reason for this comment is that want to cohost with Adelle so bad😩🤌🏾. I just want to hopefully work with someone as genuine as interesting as deep and understanding as Adelle . Aki nothing but love for this show . Look how far you’ve come omg 🥺🥺🥺. Please don’t stop 💐❤️❤️❤️

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You’re Too Valuable To Be This Undervalued | For Mannerless Women
Q: What role does sisterhood play in your professional life and pricing yourself?
Sisterhood provides a support system that validates audacity and helps create space for negotiations. It's about surrounding yourself with women who see your worth, craft networks that elevate each other, and ensure you're pricing with confidence rather than shrinking your value to fit others' expectations.
You’re Too Valuable To Be This Undervalued | For Mannerless Women
Q: How did you negotiate pay and advocate for yourself in campaigns?
I learned to ask for what I'm worth by recognizing the value of my experience, continuing education, and the integrity of my work. When faced with lower offers, I used direct communication with the agency, cited my reach and impact, and pushed for fair compensation, sometimes even walking away to demonstrate that value.
You’re Too Valuable To Be This Undervalued | For Mannerless Women
Q: What sparked the shift from traditional media to building your culinary empire and consultancy?
The turning point came around 2020 when I faced pain points at my previous job, started writing a vision on a whiteboard, and decided to pursue spice blends, master classes, and brand consultancy. It was a deliberate move powered by preparation, courses, and a commitment to documenting the journey so that audience and clients could see the evolution.
How Childhood Wounds Shape Your Relationships, Career & Self-Worth | Mid Week Tease
Q: What is self-reparenting and how does it help in healing?
Self-reparenting involves consciously giving oneself the emotional support that was missing in childhood, such as practicing self-compassion, setting boundaries, and normalizing one's own feelings to build a more secure sense of self.
How Childhood Wounds Shape Your Relationships, Career & Self-Worth | Mid Week Tease
Q: How do childhood experiences affect our careers and work-life boundaries?
Core beliefs about worth and capability learned in childhood can lead to overworking, perfectionism, or self-sufficiency that hinders rest and leadership; recognizing this allows for healthier boundaries and sustainable performance.
