One of my favorite podcasts! Love Rosa and Cat’s perspectives and their passion for film. Two Latinas talking movies is a breath of fresh air
Latinx Lens makes me feel closer to my own Hispanic heritage! So warm, so needed. But also, they always offer refreshing takes on movies
Two things we could use a lot more of in the film community are the opinions of women and of underrepresented groups. Latinx Lens fills both of these voids with two hosts bringing their passion for movies and unique perspectives for all of us to enjoy. While I think it’s natural to want to hear their thoughts on films that depict their heritage, I hope listeners will understand the value of these ladies’ breakdown of film across all genres and of all backgrounds.
These conversations are incredible and is the representation that our community needs. The hosts have a great dynamic and you can tell they deeply care about their topics.
Two incredibly strong voices in world of film criticism bringing light to an underrepresented group of people. So proud of these two Latinx women!
I listen to a lot of podcasts. I listen to a lot of FILM podcasts. And rarely do I find one that doesn’t have at least one cishet White man at the forefront. It gets tiring to listen to. So when I found out that two Latinx women were starting a podcast about Latinx cinema, and more broadly speaking, cinema as a whole through a Latinx lens, I was sold.
I’m still sold. Rosa and Cat are lovely hosts, full of joy and smart as frick. Their love of film is immediately obvious, and they back it up wit... more
Latinx Lens highlights films by Latinx filmmakers, about Latinx people. Rosa and Cat discuss film and culture. Every week provides a great lesson in Latinx filmmaking and in representation.
I absolutely love Rosa and Cat and am thrilled I can enjoy their conversations in a podcast format! The intro episode is a perfect way to start off this podcast, and it's mind boggling in a film study there were only 2 pages allocated to Latinx representation. So excited to learn more about the Latinx cinematic landscape through this podcast. Subscribe and listen now!
Absolutely love the dynamic between Rosa and Cat. I don’t think I’ll ever stop listening to Latinx Lens. Thanks for highlighting our history and our filmography.
5/5 stars, we love film tangents and ranting about culturally relevant issues and topics in Hollywood <3
Listen to this pod. You won’t regret it!
Anything for latinx lens!
I have so much to learn about Latinx representation in film, and I’m so excited to listen to Cat and Rosa discuss films they love alongside films they’re watching for the first time.
As a standard white dude, I'm always looking for content that reveals my blind spots and broadens my horizons. This podcast exactly fits that mold, taking two passionate Latina film lovers/critics and having them shed light on what the films mean to them.
Loved hearing the first episode and now you each got interested in film. Can’t wait for more episodes!
