I adore this podcast. I love all the guests. My favorite part is when you tell us what part of the estate you are sitting at I can envision what you are looking at. I am visiting Highclere Castle this summer.
This is a lovely podcast, with interesting guests, however after listening to the most recent few episodes I’d like to feedback that I feel Lady Carnarvon tends to interrupt her guests quite a lot. There were a few times where she interrupted them when they were mid sentence which is quite frustrating, especially when they’re answering a question. I’d also say that there’s a few times where I’ve felt she has taken over the conversation and is talking about herself, where the conversation should ... more

Fantastic combination of fun stories and history, this podcast is now among my favorites. I particularly love the episodes on which the staff of the castle are interviewed, but there hasn’t been a single episode I didn’t enjoy yet. Sometimes the sound isn’t perfect, although, personally, I much prefer knowing exactly which room or what part of the gardens the episode was recorded in than having studio-worthy sound — it adds a bit more authenticity and fun to this already wonderful podcast.
