  • An excellent history of JPL with one flaw

Overall an excellent history of the start of JPL. One comment - the current political bias should have been excluded. Perhaps MG might want to go back and edit her comments about Russian collusion in light of new information.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Imperfect Paradise: Meet the filmmakers who love AI (Redux)
Q: How have your thoughts about AI shifted in the process of reporting this story?
I think a lot of my thoughts about AI and Hollywood were informed by the release of all these AI tools coinciding with the big strikes in Hollywood. Once I started talking to people who actually use AI in filmmaking, I began to see the potential upside more than I did at the beginning.
Imperfect Paradise: Meet the filmmakers who love AI (Redux)
Q: So, what do you think about that?
I would kind of typically agree. I don't think we're quite there to make a tire feature film out of AI. We could, but it's just whether or not it's going to be good.
Imperfect Paradise: Shuttle Endeavour’s final mission for a new home and space exploration

The legacy will be found in inspiring future generations and preserving history while allowing for ongoing study of the shuttle in the coming years.
Imperfect Paradise: Shuttle Endeavour’s final mission for a new home and space exploration
Q: Can you remind us of its historic role in advancing space exploration?
Endeavour was built to replace the Challenger, flew significant missions, and contributed to major advancements in space exploration.
Imperfect Paradise: Shuttle Endeavour’s final mission for a new home and space exploration
Q: Can you just take us behind the scenes?
Makenna Sievertson shares her experiences of reporting on Endeavour and the significant construction taking place at the California Science Center.
