  • Reducing the amount of strangers in the world

I really love the simplicity of intent in this podcast. Stephen and Dixie-Lee are great hosts and seem to know lots of interesting people. And anyway, normality is so seriously overrated.

I started to listen to Know Normal People because a few of the folks being interviewed are friends of mine, and I am now hooked to the podcast, and quickly making my way through the rest of the archives! I live in Billings, and so hope to run into the Hennings in person! They are delightfully interesting and inviting hosts! • It’s just true!

What! A host rating his own show?? Hey it’s fine. Just trying to spread the love. Doing this project has taught me more about our thesis than I originally even thought possible. Ask normal people questions about their lives. You will NEVER regret it. “The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well.”

  • Such a refreshing podcast that makes you feel amazing

I am someone who mainly listens to political and news podcasts so my podcast listening tends to make me anxious and angry at times. As soon as a new episode comes on, I get so relaxed on the NPR-esque warmth in the voices of the Hennings. They have the ability to make you feel like you personally know the person they are talking to and flush out just how unique and they are and the amazing things they do. I would highly recommend this podcast if you are looking for anything that will help you re... more

  • One of the best!

KNP is quickly becoming one of my favorite podcasts. Each episode is better than the last, and keeps me coming back for more. I love getting to hear how people are so different, how they grew up, what their passions are, and what drives them. Also, the rapid fire questions at the beginning is such a bomb way to start each episode!

  • Light hearted and truly an enjoyable listen.

I completely enjoyed listening to this fun loving podcast. The hosts were very personable and relatable. It didn’t at all feel scripted but just like a usual conversation you may have with a new acquaintance in a coffee shop. Dixie Lee made me crack up constantly and Stephen really made you think without stretching too far to get to know him. I listen to true crime podcasts so this was a complete change of pace for me and I honestly loved it! Can’t wait to hear more!

It’s interesting to see just how comfortable in your own skin you become when hearing someone else be comfortable in their own- being able to know and understand others within my community in a fun, lighthearted, and genuine way was pretty exciting. Hilarious, easy to listen to, and thought provoking- definitely going to be following for the next episodes!
