  • Gentle Parenting

Haley does a good job at tackling tough topics and defends her view with Biblical support. She knows her stuff and shares how to stand firm in a shifting world. I enjoy listening to her and I like her style. Found her on Instagram and now she’s in my earbuds for house cleaning material.

  • Bigotry :(

I’m a progressive that is interested in listening to religious and conservative viewpoints in good faith, and I have to say Haley’s content is some of the ugliest, most condescending stuff I have ever heard from across the political aisle. The sheer disdain she demonstrates for anyone who doesn’t act and think the way she does, including other fellow Christians, is disgusting - and then she tries so hard to pitch it to her audience as wisdom and discernment. Yikes. She is a nightmare!

  • For those who like Alisa Childers

Haley talks about topics I have heard about but haven’t heard other balanced Christians addressing, like the wellness industry. Feels a bit like Alisa Childers’ style but a bit younger and more niche to topics many women in North America are being bombarded with. Great, wise resource.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Confessions of a Homemaker: From sloth and sin to sanctification | Katie Bonnema | Ep. 281
Q: How did you transition from resisting routines to embracing them as a path to sanctification?
She explained that recognizing routines as a discipline from God and not a human constraint was key. By seeking God through Scripture and prayer, she learned to view self-control as a fruit of the Spirit, which allowed her to implement consistent routines that honor God and serve her family.
Confessions of a Homemaker: From sloth and sin to sanctification | Katie Bonnema | Ep. 281
Q: What was your story with adopting and fostering, and how did that shape your view on routines at home?
Katie shared that adoption and foster care shaped the household dynamics early on, with moving to a bigger family and the realities of childcare driving the need for structure. The growth from a 'survival mode' life to intentional routines highlighted that order supports, rather than diminishes, generosity and capable parenting.
Eastern Orthodox Church: Tradition vs. Gospel | Paul Dan | Ep. 280
Q: Is the Eastern Orthodox Church the original church established by Jesus Christ, or has Neoplatonism influenced it?
Dan argues that Neoplatonism seeped into early Orthodox thought, with key figures synthesizing Neoplatonism and Christian doctrine, and claims that the Church later baptized Neoplatonism and preserved it under a Christian veneer.
Eastern Orthodox Church: Tradition vs. Gospel | Paul Dan | Ep. 280
Q: What got you interested in apologetics around the issues of the Eastern Orthodox Church?
Dan explains that Romanian studies abroad exposed him to Eastern Orthodoxy and its philosophical arguments, leading him to study church history and Neoplatonism to address Evangelical concerns, culminating in a 100-page essay read by John MacArthur.
Is Easter Just a Feeling? Raising Kids Who Know the Truth | Elizabeth Urbanowicz | Ep. 276
Q: What is the best single message for kids to take away as Easter approaches?
Focus on the foundational significance of Good Friday and the evidence for the resurrection, so kids understand why Easter matters beyond cultural symbols.
