看到標題可能會嚇到，想說主角怎麼換人當了。
主要是，這集如果我們沒有先來講解拉塞福的故事背景，大概就很難接續尼爾斯波耳的原子模型三部曲，於是本集會先進到拉塞福的故事。
至於拉塞福究竟是何等人物，他可是人類史上首先提出「衰變」，並且解釋α與β射線的人物，這項結果讓他獲得了1908年的諾貝爾物理獎。

量子力學系列進入第七集，量子力學—哥本哈根學派的領袖人物：尼爾斯．波耳終於登上歷史舞台。本集大致上不會碰到什麼太複雜的物理學說，這集會從波耳的身家開始說起，推及他心心念念的英國留學聖地－劍橋大學卡文狄許實驗室(Cavendish Laboratory)，並且他拜訪實驗室的負責人JJ湯木生，隨後，波耳在因緣際會認識了在曼徹斯特大學任教的拉塞福，人生開始出現變化。

愛因斯坦的最終章終於登場，這集當中，我們會回顧「光的波動說」與「光的粒子說」消長的歷史過程，從17世紀的惠更斯，牛頓，再到光波實驗的開創者－湯瑪士楊格，將光波理論帶上了歷史主流，並且最終被愛因斯坦打回原形，本章會以串場的方式帶過愛因斯坦奇蹟年的最後一篇論文：布朗效應，並且交待愛因斯坦離開專利局之後最終的去向，最後，他還將因為以量子解釋了熱容量理論，受邀參加歷史上最傳奇的物理學盛會－索爾維會議。

量子力學－波耳與愛因斯坦的偉大論戰 - 進入第二個篇章了（想完結還早呢），這個篇章是萬眾矚目的物理明星：愛因斯坦登場的故事。
1905年，在短短一年內，愛因斯坦發表了五篇論文－光量子說 (光電效應)、原子的測定方法、布朗運動、論動體的電動力學 (狹義相對論)、以及質能等價。
這五篇論文，幾乎都是足以影響世界的關鍵論文，於是乎，1905年就被稱作「愛因斯坦的奇蹟年」。
