  • Bad interviewer

Not sure why you’ve gone to this contrived interview format. The “host” is an embarrassing sycophant asking preplanned questions and acting like it’s impromptu. And then thanking you for being on your own show like you’re a guest of his. Also, why is he giving us his opinion? Go back to a monologue.

  • Interesting perspectives

Jared has some great ideas on how to create wealth while enjoying life. However, I disagree with his awesome portfolio strategy. Based on his comments on other podcasts, I would not be surprised if he has massaged the data to boost its success rate. Jared subtly has an inflated ego too, but nevertheless his podcast is still worth listening to.

  • Excellent podcast

Jared talks. He never reads. Maybe he has a couple of word on a notebook. It I think he just talks. More importantly, he talks sense. Really recommend his podcast. My only regret is that he has blocked me on X/Twitter for reasons unbeknown to me. Thanks Jared. Say hi to the cats. Lex Backer.

Ep. 426: Dovish or Nuanced? How Markets Reacted to Jackson Hole
Q: Is it possible that quality emerging small cap companies are opting for employee stock ownership plans instead of IPOs?
Short answer, no. I don't think so. I think it really has to do with really big macro reasons why people aren't buying small caps, sentiment reasons.

Q: Is there a cost-effective way to protect these positions?
It really depends on tax and the tax consequences. If you can take gains without tax consequences, then please do that.
Ep. 424: $500 Billion: The Price Tag on AI Euphoria
Q: Do you think that Erica firing was warranted?
No, I don't. I really don't.
Ep. 424: $500 Billion: The Price Tag on AI Euphoria
Q: So what do you think here? Are we going to get a rate cut next month?
I do. I think it's pretty much baked in.
Ep. 420: “Super Bullish” on Commodities: Does a Supercycle Await?
Q: How do you see commodities performing over, say, the next several years?
Commodities are historically very cheap relative to stocks; I'm bullish due to potential inflation events.
