I have been a massive participant in the no dunks extended universe for welll over 10 years and “Is This Good?” was 100% my favorite podcast for its entire run. I love movies, but I don’t really have interest in a lot of shows/movies that get covered here. I know its your podcast and you can do whatever you want but just my 2 cents :/. (when the patreon exclusives drop its my go-to listen because i love you guys)

  • Makes My Ears Bleed

Was looking for a podcast for

    The final season of

Stranger Things and and Jesus Christ if you are going to cover a show take the time to know the casts names. Also, enough with the overuse of the word “cringe” just because you hear your kid say it doesn’t mean you have to

Fine if you like film/TV reviews, but a far cry from the universal richness of Is This Good?

  • Best review podcast ever

Best podcast ever. Before Thumb War, I’d just sit there alone with my thoughts, staring at the credits like I was solving the Da Vinci Code. Now I still get to ponder, but at least I can listen to you guys argue about the movies while I do it. I used to go to New Rockstars for my breakdowns. Sorry guys, but now it’s all Thumb War.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Matt Damon Tries to Get Home for Three Loud Hours | The Odyssey Review
Q: How did casting affect the film's feel and accessibility?
They discussed Matt Damon as a strong Odysseus, praised Hathaway's performance, and noted that the use of age-appropriate casting and American accents helped anchor the myth in a more relatable context, while noting some distractions from casting choices.
The Empire Strikes Back Rewatch | Still the Best Star Wars Movie?
Q: Why do you think the film's portrayal of Yoda as a small, seemingly frail creature works so well as a mentor figure?
Because the character's size belies a philosophy and power that is profound and transformative, showing that wisdom and strength aren't always visible at first glance, which also mirrors the larger Star Wars theme of perceived power versus true capability.
Jurassic World Rebirth, Trailer Trash & Dipshit Boyfriends | ThumbWar Ep. 1
Q: What do you think of the characters in Jurassic World Rebirth?
I hated the characters and wanted them to die.
Jurassic World Rebirth, Trailer Trash & Dipshit Boyfriends | ThumbWar Ep. 1
Q: What do you want to see in the next episode?
I think we should watch Superman.
Champagne Rooms, Gym Revenge, and Earworm Cures | Mailbag
Q: Is this good, telling said long-distance girlfriend who I haven't seen in about a month and may not see again until May for a friend's wedding to cancel the trip she had planned to come out and see me because it's her great-grandmother's funeral on the weekend she would be here?
It's better she goes to the funeral; missing it could lead to lifelong regrets.
