  • Worst bball pod I’ve ever listened to

Knicks put the spurs in a blender on a possession in game 2. It was called some of the best offense since the 2017 Warriors or 2014 spurs. Zach Lowe said it was a super blender. Sportradar tweeted the movement from tracking data on the play. Meanwhile on Nate Duncan’s podcast that possession was “great spurs defense” with a bailout three by Bridges. Feel like I got dumber listening to these guys. Don’t waste your time, plenty of good content out there.

  • Intellectually dishonest

Saying Game 2 on the 2026 NBA Finals was “refereed well” is a joke. It’s intellectually dishonest to say the refs weren’t biased. Only one team had technicals called against them. Only one team didn’t take a free throw in the 2nd half until 2 minutes left in the game!

  • Dan Feldman, shootin lasers!

Great episode with Dan Feldman after the Thunder-Spurs battle Royale. He’s a flame thrower, and his takes are not just hot, they’re cash! Dan & Nate make excellent contrasting points. Good stuff.

  • Not Enough Film, Too Much Confidence

These are well informed fans, who have a wealth of basketball knowledge, however, many of their comments as of late have made clear to me that they haven’t been watching as much basketball as of late and are over reliant on on/off, dpm/epm and popular narratives to guide them. Many statements listed as fact were truly uninformed and only comments that would be made by someone who hasn’t actually studied up. Maybe I’m watching too much basketball in March, but I thought I’d voice my concern.

  • Awesome Basketball Pod

I love the pod, although the premium is quite expensive. Do wish it was more hornets talk (im from charlotte) . Also how is the lakers gm so hated on the pod after getting luka. And reaves is also the best contract ever at this point. Keep doing a great job! Ps more hornets talk😂

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress on the 2026 Draft
Q: What are the concerns about the influx of college players and the new eligibility rules?
There are concerns that more seniors will get an extra year of eligibility, which would suppress the second-round opportunities and impact team-building strategies, particularly for teams drafting in the middle of the first round.
Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress on the 2026 Draft
Q: Which players are being discussed as the likely top picks and why?
Darryn Peterson is viewed as the top prospect due to his size, versatility, and ball-handling; Cam Boozer is seen as a high-floor, high-ceiling defender and playmaker; Aday Mara is noted for size, shot-blocking, and the potential to develop a perimeter game, though there are concerns about space and toughness.
Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress on the 2026 Draft
Q: What is the most notable trend affecting the 2026 draft landscape according to your guest?
The NIL era is driving more players to stay in college or return for more money, which is reducing depth in certain parts of the draft, especially in the second round and among international entrants.
The NBA Media Landscape with Andrew Marchand
Q: How important is Victor Wembanyama to the NBA's TV future?
He is seen as a defining talent who could drive ratings and shape the league's next TV superstar era, especially on broadcast, though domestic appeal and market reach remain considerations for long-term impact.
The NBA Media Landscape with Andrew Marchand
Q: Do you think the 82-game schedule is sustainable given the current rights deals?
Shortening the regular season could preserve player health and game impact, potentially making each game more meaningful and supporting better marketability in TV and streaming, though it would require balancing with ownership concerns about gates and revenue.
