  • Spgi— enough of a pull back?

Hello, been a while since you covered spgi. Last time you said you liked it on a pull back. Is it an elite compounder ready to go in my Roth and forget about? Thanks, Islamabad Don

  • Used to love this podcast. Now it is just 75% reading AI generated content. It is so obvious they are reading AI conent as he doesnt even pause to take a breath. I could just ask AI for a market update if I wanted that version. I want real human insight and I dokt want cheap one-liner AI speak. Just talk. If you dont have any thoughts of your own, I dont wanna listen to you.

  • Azn or abbv? Kudos on Intc

Justin and Luke, should I own both, or is one better than the other. Astra zenaca seems to have a better pipeline. Abbv more of a cash generator. Buy and forget strategy here. BTW Luke excellent call a couple years back on intel. I should have kept it longer. Thanks, Islamabad Don

  • Was amazing but Justin has run it into the ground

Justin spits on the grave of Steve and his own family with every podcast. His not so lightly veiled Trump hating, liberal jabs while pretending to be moderate is an embarassment but the kind of childish rhetoric you expect. Any opportunity to take a day off and do a best of caller questions episode is taken far too often and Justin only comes on during bad market days so he can spread his political division. There are 4x the commercials there used to be for snacks and clothes and whatever makes ... more

Q: John from St. Louis asks if you own Tractor Supply Company (TSCO) and whether it's a good buy at current levels.

Q: Is a backdoor Roth conversion a good strategy for someone in retirement or near retirement, and what are the tax considerations?
Backdoor Roth strategies can be powerful when tax brackets are favorable; the hosts emphasize bracket filling/topping, careful planning with a CPA, and using Roth conversions to manage future tax risk, particularly before RMDs commence.
Best of Caller Questions - Friday Juneteenth
Q: What retirement asset allocations are sensible for someone with a Thrift Savings Plan considering potential recession and sequence of returns risk?
Allocation should be tailored to age and retirement horizon; younger individuals can withstand more equities, while those closer to retirement should emphasize defensive positions, cash, and bonds to reduce sequence risk, with a focus on sector weights and predefined exit plans.
Best of Caller Questions - Friday Juneteenth
Q: Richard in Santa Clarita asks about the implications of an inverted yield curve and whether its recession signal still holds in today's environment.
We discuss that while the inversion suggests potential stress, the macro landscape now includes fiscal dominance and large deficits that complicate a simple recession signal; timing remains uncertain but the invariant theme is that policy actions and deficits can delay or mitigate traditional downturns.
