  • I miss Preston

I think the essence and the value of this show has gotten diluted. Long time listener. Maybe I've changed, and I got what I needed out of it. Markets have changed, the world has changed. Preston was the driving force for me on this show. What a voice, what a talent.

  • Was great! Now less so

I loved listing to Stig, Preston and the others. This has been a huge help in my education throughout the years. Now it’s just a stock picker podcast, more akin to MSNBC than the educational and engaging content of the past.

  • I was preoccupied with browsing the internet and seeking assistance after falling victim to a scam by a broker. Fortunately, I found recovering@usa.com, who provided exceptional and professional services. They guided me through the entire process, allowing me to finally find relief from the stress and frustration caused by the previous ordeal.

  • HIRE CERTIFIED ETHEREUM / USDT & BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT HERE / REVENANT CYBER HACKER

I never imagined that one bad decision could shatter my life the way it did. Like many people, I was drawn into cryptocurrency by stories of financial freedom and security for my family. When an online “recovery scheme” promised to help me retrieve funds I had previously lost, I was desperate and hopeful. Instead, I walked straight into another trap. Within weeks, $172,000, my life savings, was gone. The reali... more

  • Cryptocurrency

Your statement that all LLMs affirm cryptocurrency as somehow different from fiat currency is false. In 20 seconds I confirmed with ChatGPT that crypto has no intrinsic value (such as land, equipment, etc); instead just like fist currency it has as much value as the trust and acceptance of the system (supporting platform) is assigned to it by users.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

RWH068: How to Be Better in Work & Life w/ David Epstein
Q: Can you talk about your personal experiences with constraints and how they shaped your writing process?
Constraints helped him structure ambitious projects, such as drafting a one-page book outline, prioritizing content ruthlessly, and turning in work ahead of schedule, which in turn improved coherence and quality.
RWH068: How to Be Better in Work & Life w/ David Epstein
Q: Why do you think we need constraints more than ever in a world of endless information and choices?
Because infinite options complicate decision-making, reduce satisfaction, and increase procrastination; constraints help focus attention, streamline choices, and enable deeper work by avoiding decision fatigue.
RWH068: How to Be Better in Work & Life w/ David Epstein
Q: So can you start by telling us who Herbert Simon was and how he influenced the themes of this book?
Simon was a polymath who explored decision-making across disciplines; his concept of bounded rationality and the value of satisficing underpin the argument that constraints can sharpen thinking and creativity, both in work and life.
TIP810: Berkshire Hathaway 2026 Valuation w/ Chris Bloomstran
Q: How do you view compensation for Greg Abel in relation to Berkshire's scale and incentives?
Compensation at $25 million is reasonable given the size and responsibilities, but the key is alignment with long-term performance, ownership in Berkshire, and ensuring incentives do not promote short-term risk-taking; board alignment and equity holdings are crucial for credibility.
TIP810: Berkshire Hathaway 2026 Valuation w/ Chris Bloomstran
Q: What are your thoughts on Greg Abel's letter and his approach to Berkshire's capital allocation?
Abel's letter is solid; he emphasizes discipline, propitious messaging to shareholders, and a deeper dive into operating subsidiaries. Bloomstran highlights that Abel's allocation of capital, including leveraging Ted's role and Adam Johnson's involvement, should focus on meaningful opportunities at cost, while maintaining Berkshire's culture and conservative underwriting.
