  • Too many ads!

Why so many ads?! Still like the show and content, but when you headline stiff person syndrome I expect to hear something a little more in depth besides that it’s a rare disease.

Stop with the teaser headlines please.

  • Going down the hill

This was once a show that was more real info with some science backing, Now off the rails And fringe Too bad. This episode on neurodegenerative toxins is sooo weak; she is just reading some statements but really offering nothing to substantiate. It is really in the end telling us nothing of value…the show also just pushes its own supplements

  • Fantastic info about movement for seniors

Just listened to the 2-part interview with Movement for Life creator Hedy and I’m so inspired to share it with my senior parents. It’s wonderful to hear about exercise for seniors that’s so accessible and life affirming. Such great info in there!

I've been listening to Dr. Hoffman for decades because he is a trusted source for both conventional and complimentary medicine. He is a true GEM for the reason that he tells it like it really is, not just from his own opinion but always based on facts. I can always count on looking to him for the latest information on what the truth is concernning the latest studies on things, but he will bring out all the truth, actual data or additional studies so that we can get the real story and not just a ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Intelligent Medicine Radio for May 16, Part 2: Hydrogen Water
Q: Hi, my name is Ann and I'm a 55-year-old woman with osteoporosis seeking advice beyond exercise.
Dr. Hoffman suggests hormone replacement therapy as a potential way to slow bone loss in the short term, emphasizes ensuring adequate vitamin D and minerals, discusses the possible role of strontium with caveats about bone density testing, and advises a balanced approach incorporating lifestyle measures alongside medications if bone loss progresses.
Q&A with Leyla, Part 2: Should we all be using unbleached toilet paper?
Q: Jill is asking, should we all be using unbleached toilet paper?
The hosts discuss that unbleached products are generally better for health and the environment because they avoid chlorine-based bleaching and associated chemicals, though they emphasize practical considerations and quality.
Q&A with Leyla, Part 1: Dr. Hoffman's Scandinavian Trip
Q: Should we rethink nightshade vegetables and avoid them if we have arthritis?
Leyla explains that a fair percentage of people with arthritis may benefit from avoiding nightshades, especially for those with significant inflammatory symptoms, and suggests a trial of a three-month nightshade-free diet to assess impact, while noting it is not universal and some people may not need to avoid them.
Adrenal Fatigue, Stress, and Natural Support Strategies with Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, Part 2
Q: What about high-tech cortisol monitoring, like continuous cortisol monitors or integrating into smartwatches?
The idea is intriguing, but currently a practical, accurate, continuous cortisol monitor is not standard; potential future tech could offer moment-to-moment insights, though interpretations would be complex.
Adrenal Fatigue, Stress, and Natural Support Strategies with Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, Part 2
Q: Do you believe in testing?
Testing can provide extra information (like cortisol patterns), but it is not definitive; decisions are often made based on symptoms and trialing treatments such as Adrenoplex.
