  • I tried…

I’ve really tried to get into this pod. Unfortunately, there’s just too little planning, focus, and structure to make it worth it. There are a few good episodes, but they don’t outnumber the difficult ones.

First - the speakers are hard-panned left/right - very annoying to listen to. It simply doesn’t create a natural environment, and for audio guys this seems like a very rookie mistake. Their audio levels are often unbalanced, and one host is often clipping as his levels are set too hot. Just... more

  • Terrible Panning on a “Audio Education” Podcast

I’ve loved this pod for couple years, but can’t not give a low rating, just to be sure you see that myself feel ( and I believe I’v seen other reviews agreeing ) that the panning of the content, does not match the medium ( listening in cars, one headphone while at work, etc…. ). How can we trust the content if it’s not aware of how the content is listened to.

  • Podcast is great voice levelling and balancing could be a lot better

It's a great fun podcast to listen to. It's about sound production / mixing / recording with always new hard and software tips, good pointers what to listen to or watch out for, opinions and on top of that a lot of industry stuff is being discussed. Just too bad that Jody is much loader (and fuller) than Chris and also the mics / recording spaces are so different, you can even the differences quite clear over an iphone speaker. I know they always say they use izotope in the mastering and mix pro... more

  • Very good podcast

The content is really good, very interesting subjects but why the panning of the hosts left and right? That can be annoying when listening with AirPods …

  • Solid info…

I appreciate the info and reminders that Jody & Chris share. To me this is just the right show length to cover these types of topics. No matter how long a person is in recording world there is always room to improve, learn something new, or be reminded or encouraged along the way. Thanks guys.

  • Constant interruptions

I wanted to like this podcast. The topics are really interesting and it’s sometimes quite informative. However, Jody’s constant interruptions with small stupid remarks totally kills the flow and inhibits the conversations. I was excited when I found this podcast, but a couple of episodes in I’m about to go crazy, I’m sorry to say.

  • i enjoy the podcast alot and i do find it informative. I can tell the old school knowledge comes from chris and that's what i follow more so. One request ,,,Jody can you please hold off on the politics? if you can dial it back would be awesome. If i wanted to hear references to that id spend my spotify money to follow politics not music production and gear review. other then that awesome show i enjoy and hope to continue to follow. johnny

  • Fabulous!

The podcast covers reasonably technical topics about recording audio with an ironic twist. I quite enjoy the different takes of the two hosts and how those reflect their personalities.

To this day, I haven't yet found entertainment content with such diversity and technicality on this very topic, and that's why I love it!

If you are looking for a useful & funny producing-recording-mixing-mastering-tracking podcast, you're in the right place!

Be advised: you might also get terrible jok... more
