  • Love it! So much useful information

I love to hear you talk! I love your voice and all the information you give. I’m not pre-menopause, but I’m learning a lot about literally everything.

  • Much needed info in the gap of perimenopause!

The information Michelle shares is so helpful. In the confusing times of perimenopause it’s refreshing to hear someone shed some light on it with relevant weekly topics. I do rate it four stars though since it can feel overly scripted instead of conversational. You can tell her partner Tabitha is more comfortable and experienced in the podcast world. Hoping with more time and experience the rigidity will soften up and will connect more with the audience.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 63: Breaking Up with Diet Culture in Midlife: Why Your Body Isn't Broken with Morgana Lakatos-Hayward
Q: What is the one thing listeners can do immediately to start moving the needle?
Prioritize protein, aiming for at least 30 grams per meal to stabilize blood sugar, regulate hunger hormones, and shift the body into fat-burning mode.
Episode 63: Breaking Up with Diet Culture in Midlife: Why Your Body Isn't Broken with Morgana Lakatos-Hayward
Q: What does the 60 Day Shed program entail and how is it different from other weight loss programs?
The program has a course with customized protocols and weekly coaching, including a fat burn protocol and a holistic 'hack your body' method that aligns internal systems to support hormone balance and fat loss, especially for perimenopausal women.
Episode 41: Why January Drains Your Energy (and Why It’s Not Just You)
Q: What practical steps can someone take to support their energy during winter, especially if they have to stay indoors?
Prioritize natural light exposure first thing in the morning, open windows or doors to let light in, use blue-light blockers for screens, keep meals balanced to sustain dopamine/serotonin, and incorporate short movement snacks every hour to keep the circadian system engaged.
Episode 41: Why January Drains Your Energy (and Why It’s Not Just You)
Q: What exactly is seasonal fatigue and how does it connect to circadian biology?
Seasonal fatigue arises when reduced daylight disrupts the body's natural rhythms, lowering serotonin and dopamine. Light exposure, especially morning light, acts as a cue to the master clock, helping regulate hormones and energy throughout the day.
Episode 41: Why January Drains Your Energy (and Why It’s Not Just You)
Q: Can you explain what Blue Monday is and why it matters for how we frame January fatigue?
Blue Monday is a marketing concept created to promote holidays and consumer spending; it's not a real biological event. Recognizing it helps people avoid chasing a magical fix and instead focus on consistent, science-based strategies for light exposure, movement, and social connection to support energy and mood.
