Do we need more Steven Hydens? Probably not, but what do i know
I cosign the other complaints about the numbingly ironic, referential sense of humor. And I would assume that self-described “indieheads” would take pride in having broad and restless taste in music, but this show seems preoccupied almost exclusively with mainstream junk culture. so unlistenable…. just a bunch of talking over each other and waiting for their punchlines to land. please edit this, it would be much better
If you want to hear some dudes that are extremely pleased with themselves laughing hysterically at each other then maybe this is for you.
This show desperately needs an editor. It’s hard to listen to. If they just cut all of the obnoxious laughter they could get maybe three stars. But as it is right now, this is a terrible podcast. I’m shocked that anyone would contribute to their Patreon.
I also find this podcast fairly irrelevant to the industry at large. They should make a podcast for cars.

A signature chaotic energy, running jokes, and a willingness to chase tangents keep conversations lively while still delivering thoughtful critique of music culture and industry dynamics. Noteworthy is the consistent collaboration among a tight-knit group of hosts and recurring guests who bring a blend of journalism, performance, and fandom to the table, plus occasional behind-the-scenes anecdotes about Patre... more
