I am interested in incel roots, behaviour, pain and ways to improve the situation. But this podcast has lots of opinion and less explanation or research There is an assumption that we all know every term (ie they’ll be talking about being red pilled or other terms and don’t explain or explore). The host is articulate but talks a lot of opinion without “showing her workings ”and often talks sneeringly at “other academics” and bemoans social media outrage without giving both sides equal compassion... more
I have listened to this podcast for years because I find the topic compelling. Unfortunately Naama’s pattern of ascribing negative motives to certain groups while giving undue sympathy to incels undermined the podcast's credibility and hindered the exploration of complex social issues. Her defensiveness became increasingly evident, particularly when her interview style and conclusions were criticized. While constructive feedback is a valuable opportunity for growth and self-reflection, Naama app... more
A woman doing an INCEL podcast….that’s like a man doing a childbirth podcast. This is about as dumb as it could be.
A pod that takes a compassionate look at incels. It's mainly about telling individual stories, showing how some of them are surprising ethical, clever & articulate. Incels (not meaning just the men) have to be the most marginalised minority in existence right now. So it's great they have such an able ally in Naama. But the reason Ive been listening to this Pod for years is that she has such an amazing, soothing voice.
Fantastic (and not at all unhinged) review, Kandyst4r! With just 3 words - “Stay mad, feminists” - you sure owned us! more
