  • Too many adds

So disappointed that a 24 minute podcast has such a high proportion of ads - ruins the handsfree experience and makes it unlistenable for me, disappointed as right up my street otherwise. Also, no follow up questions to answers, just passed over.

  • Great new show

I like how these business monoliths instantly seem more human when they talk with Francine about how they lead people, rather than how they make money. Looking forward to more episodes👏

  • A honest take on leadership

Loved the honest and candid approach to leadership. Refreshing to hear a leader - whose ego seems in check - talk about empowering people and offering thoughtful feedback to her team. Rare and inspiring!

Q: Did you think about it?
Yes. But I just focused. I also knew the market very, very well. I knew that I could raise the money, but I couldn't convince anyone else on that.
For Rafael Nadal, Retirement Requires a Champion's Mindset
Q: In 2024, you announced that you were retiring. Do you remember the moment that you decided that it was the right time?
Yes, I decided to retire after extended consideration of my body and hip condition, giving myself time to see if I could return to fighting at the level I wanted, and I confirmed the decision when it became clear I wouldn't be able to compete the way I needed to.
IMF Chief Kristalina Georgieva on AI, Ukraine, Russia and the Next Global Shock
Q: How has your leadership approach evolved at the IMF to manage a diverse and large stakeholder group?
By investing in regular senior-management collaboration, fostering inclusive dialogue, and creating a culture where every voice matters, even changing seating dynamics to empower younger voices.
IMF Chief Kristalina Georgieva on AI, Ukraine, Russia and the Next Global Shock
Q: What was your thinking behind the hesitation and eventual postponement of a visit to Russia in 2024?
We weighed the data limitations, ongoing bombing, and the need to collect reliable trade and economic information, concluding that an objective assessment could not be completed under those conditions.
IMF Chief Kristalina Georgieva on AI, Ukraine, Russia and the Next Global Shock
Q: So how do you see the IMF's role in a world where consensus is hard to reach and global shocks are frequent?
The IMF's job is to keep the membership together, provide clear, evidence-based analysis, and help countries build resilience so they can withstand shocks while pursuing reforms that benefit the broad population.
