  • Progressively less interesting

David has great guests but then proceeds to ask them silly questions more akin to People magazine. It’s like he doesn’t prepare for these interviews. Anyways, if that’s your jam, he’s your guy.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Raj Subramaniam
Q: What's the biggest shift you've implemented as CEO compared to the previous leadership?
Consolidating four operating divisions into a unified FedEx network to improve efficiency, scale, and consistency across the global business, while maintaining a people-first culture.
Raj Subramaniam
Q: How do you envision FedEx changing with the advent of AI and data platforms?
AI will improve network efficiency and create new customer value by leveraging a digital twin and advanced analytics to optimize routes, capacity, and service levels, while also enabling new products and services atop the existing physical network.
Charlie Scharf
Q: Why did Wells Fargo face asset growth constraints, and how did you respond strategically?
The asset cap was a regulatory decision to address underlying issues and ensure the bank could fix those problems before increasing assets; we responded by becoming more efficient, reallocating balance sheet usage, and expanding fee-based revenues like credit cards, trading, and advisory services.
Charlie Scharf
Q: What is the biggest problem the United States is facing now in the financial services world?
In my view, ongoing uncertainty around international conflicts and the long bull market has created liquidity but also risk; over time, cycles will reassert themselves, and we need to be prepared for the shifts that will come with a changing environment and deficits.
Rachel Reeves
Q: Why should foreign investors consider putting money in the UK, and how do regulations and growth prospects stack up?
The UK offers a strong stock market performance, top global universities, and a vibrant ecosystem of unicorns and scale-ups; reforms are designed to keep Britain open—attracting talent, investment, and innovation—while maintaining a stable, transparent regulatory environment.
