  • From marathon to mates

Came for the GC marathon content but have stayed for the chit chat. Really enjoying the banter between Liam and Courtney. Interesting perspective on running, tris, endurance sports, training, equipment, fueling, and just general interesting news from around the traps. Love the local context.

  • Worth a shout

Light hearted enough to be relatable but serious enough to be informative podcast (mostly) about running that’s a very easy listen but thought provoking at the same time.

EP 83 - COURTNEY ATKINSON "THE INTERVIEW" - OLYMPICS, REGRETS, RED BULL & THE MINDSET BEHIND IT ALL
Q: Did you ever use the 'fake beef' motivation tactic like Michael Jordan?
No, I never used that approach; motivation for me came from sustaining longevity and security rather than manufactured rivalries.
EP 83 - COURTNEY ATKINSON "THE INTERVIEW" - OLYMPICS, REGRETS, RED BULL & THE MINDSET BEHIND IT ALL
Q: Looking back at your professional career, what was your proudest moment?
My proudest moment wasn't a single race win but the combination of performance and the training discipline I built to reach a long-term goal, including how training structure and team dynamics contributed to my growth.
HARRY GARSIDE: OLYMPIC BOXING BRONZE TO T100 TRIATHLON - FEAR, FREEDOM & FINDING THE FIRE
Q: How do you compare the fight instincts in boxing to racing on a bike or running on the road?
He describes running and cycling as having a primal aspect similar to boxing in terms of fight or flight, noting the different sensations and the unique flow of each discipline, and acknowledging that the connection can feel more present in running due to its visceral history.
ASH GENTLE & JOSH AMBERGER: TRIATHLON, T100 AND THE PREGNANCY THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
Q: How did your relationship influence your professional racing paths?
They described traveling together since juniors, frequent training camps, and eventually building a life in Brisbane while pursuing different specializations, which allowed them to support each other throughout careers.
MATT HAUSER - WORLD TRIATHLON CHAMP RACING T-100 GOLD COAST 10KM RUN
Q: What are your strategies for running the T100 10K event?
I plan to start at a conservative pace and aim for a PB if conditions allow, but I'm also mindful of upcoming races and recovery needs.
