I thought I subscribed to a “inspiring’, “driven”, “mindset boosting” podcast that I could listen to while going about already chaotic life. After the first episode with Stephen Bonnell came out, I almost unsubscribe this show, thinking: why I needed to listen to these prejudices, self-obsession and negativities that I’ve got plenty from people in real life…. Not driven, not inspired, just more depressed and more pessimistic I felt now after listening to that episode. Well, guess I do have to un... more
Some of the recent guests, though not all, have very strong opinions with little depth to them. The type of guest that writes incredible tweets, but can’t seem to answer specific questions in long form interviews very well. Instead of answering the question thoughtfully, they swap to related topics to give the sense that they’re making a good point, but really they’re just jumping from thread to thread to thread.
Since this is a long-form podcast and not a twitter thread, these guests aren’t a ... more
Please have this Drew person stop making grunting or non word sounds. This is constant. What is the point. Otherwise like Tom’s program. Only listen though to ones without Drew as this grunting just so distracting.
I used to look forward to each new podcast. Fascinating discussions with guests. Now we get political propaganda and Tom won’t let the guests speak and he won’t listen to them. Such a shame. Tons of replays as well. Not worth the time.
Tom would have to be my favourite podcaster at the moment. He doesn’t let his guest just go on a long lecture, he pulls them up and challenges them. He asks why they say something a certain way, he breaks down what they mean, he questions everything, and helps me to think differently and for myself. Love it 👌
