Thank-you for featuring Jane Shapiro. I’m looking forward to reading her.
Great host, great guests. I enjoy hearing parts of the books and about and from the authors.
Host asks thoughtful questions and cultivates conversations that highlight the PEOPLE behind the books.
I love this podcast. The host and their guests discuss books, but also writing and publishing and parenting. Lighthearted but never lightweight. Every episode is a gem.
Fantastic. Simply fantastic. There is no where else to go to get this richness of writers, by writers, hosted by writers.
My Fiction Writing professor recommended this podcast, and I am desperately hooked. My commute to school is so much better.
Vital conversations about how to navigate contemporary life as an artist
As a regular listener and a guest, I can say my experience of Lindsay and Alex’s show is like hanging out with friends. They’re writers but also funny, welcoming hosts of a party I hope goes on a long time.
Seriously though, Alex and Lindsay make me feel heard and seen as an offbeat writer and parent. Their writing advice is practical and encouraging, their stories from the trenches are funny, and the guests they bring on are excellent.
I love both Hunter’s and Higley’s writing, and this podcast is a wonderful look at what it means to balance a writing life with an actual life—family, career, friendships. They’re guests have been great!
Love hearing new work, discovering new writers, and hearing about what the working process is like for other parents. Really therapeutic and great life advice too.
It’s so inspiring to hear about how writers in all types of situations, with all types of lives, find the time and motivation to write. I find myself learning new things (for example, about motherhood) from this podcast, too! And I love that the hosts talk about and read their own work at the end.
Essential listening for any working writer and anyone who thinks they are not a writer anymore because their life got complicated but yes they are still very much a writer.
My husband and I love listening to this podcast together while in the car. Alex and Lindsay are very real and honest about the struggles and layers of being a parent, a writer, a spouse, and so much more. If you are a writer or a creator of any kind, give this a listen!
This podcast is so amazingly real! Love everything about I! Thank you for standing in your truth and wanting to burn stereotypes. You can be successful in raising littles at the same time you do something to grow your soul! It doesn’t have to be one or the other. 86 guilt! Love this podcast so much!
