  • Stolen Crypto, Tracked and Recovered with Mighty Hacker Recovery WhatsApp +1 (343) 947-3496

I never thought I’d be the one writing one of these stories. You hear about crypto scams, hacks, and lost fortunes, and you think, “That’s for other people. The careless ones.” I was careful. Or so I believed.

It started with a sophisticated phishing attack. An email that looked identical to a legitimate exchange notification, a link to “verify my wallet security,” and a moment of distracted panic. I cl... more

  • Poor ad/content ratio

Love these two and largely love the show but it feels like each episode is like 40% ads. It’s just too much. I return to the skip 30 secs button far too often. No flow to the shows either. I get it, they own the network. They’re more concerned with ad money than good content. But come onnnnnn.

  • Hard to listen to

Day one listener here but ever since segments has come along it’s just like they are trying to hard.

They just ramble on and it’s hard to listen to, it’s just recording a podcast for the sake of recording a podcast.

Just listened to 40 minutes of them say random numbers at each other, wasn’t funny, wasn’t clever. Just made me annoyed that I wasted all that time listening to it.

Go back to a structured podcast, it’s just unlistenable now.

  • A sad time

I’ve been a fan since I was 15 (that’s 16 years now) but J&A have made their stance on current events very clear with their McDonald’s endorsement. Out of all the realities of celebrities and their stances, this one truly is the grimmest one. Jake and Amir have honestly been my favourite comedic duo for my entire adulthood. They shaped my love and admiration of comedy. However, I can’t ignore what’s blatant anymore.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

If I Were You: Swinging
Q: How do you determine the core essence of your comedy and why does the Jake-and-Amir dynamic work?
They describe a dynamic where one character is untethered to reality and the other provides grounded reactions, coupled with frequent self-awareness and audience-in-community perspective, which together create a unique, recognizable comedic voice that resonates with listeners.
If I Were You: Swinging
Q: What does it take to balance being supportive with giving honest feedback to a friend who is a writer?
The hosts suggest being constructive but clear, emphasize honesty tempered with kindness, and propose tailoring feedback to the recipient's openness rather than delivering a blunt critique; they also acknowledge the value of positive reinforcement and the metaphor of a 'compliment sandwich' while recognizing when to withhold critique if it risks stifling the creator.
81: Stand Up Comedy
Q: What made you change?
The host reflects on personal growth over time, noting significant changes but also recurring patterns.
81: Stand Up Comedy
Q: Should I just say fuck it and see what happens, or do you have other ideas about what I can do for a speech?
Don't try Stand Up Comedy for the first time ever in front of your coworkers; try it at an open mic instead.
69: If I Were You
Q: How soon is too soon to move in together?
18 to 24 months is not too soon. Moving to a bigger city like Chicago offers more opportunities and social life.
