S12 E8: Why You Can't Build a World-Class Company With a Zip Code Mentality with Sagar Khatri
Q: For people looking to get started and learn more about Multiplier, what is the best way they can reach you?
Reach out to Sagar directly at the Multiplier address and he is eager to connect with potential customers and partners to discuss how global hiring could work for their business.
S12 E8: Why You Can't Build a World-Class Company With a Zip Code Mentality with Sagar Khatri
Q: So before Multiplier existed, you were on the other side of this problem. Paint the picture, what were you actually trying to do and what got in the way?
I started from personal frustration with long bank-setup delays and complex regulatory friction, which made global hiring feel impractical. I aimed to create an infrastructure that would let companies hire, pay, and comply globally in a few clicks, removing institutional bottlenecks so startups and SMEs could access talent anywhere.
S12 E4: The Emotional Tax of Doing HR Correctly with Stacey Nordwall
Q: Why is it so hard to manage performance conversations early on?
Because managers often lack clear feedback, employees may misinterpret it, and the emotional weight is high since livelihoods and health care are on the line; role-playing and documenting feedback help.
S12 E4: The Emotional Tax of Doing HR Correctly with Stacey Nordwall
Q: What was happening at the company when you first stepped into the HRBP role?
The company was in an early stage with no formal HRBP function; the speaker had to cover multiple HR tasks and later had to coach a manager and employee through a serious performance issue as a kind of improvised HRBP.
AI Readiness Gap: There's No True Playbook for AI Development, So Here's the Next Best Thing with Lauren Gregor
Q: What does a realistic employee development strategy for AI look like for small businesses?
It should be open and communicative, personalized to each role, tied to business goals, and built around frequent check-ins; leaders should provide a protected space for experimentation and use AI to generate personalized learning plans while humans focus on applying and integrating what is learned.
