  • Fantastic work!

Jericka, as a former journalist (one who was almost your colleague at CBS Newspath), I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed listening to your take on the trial. Your strike that balance between objective observer with in-person insight and inquiring member of the public. I find it hard to listen to a lot of podcasts from TV journalists because they sound so “newsy”, but you keep it relatable. Keep up the great work and if you ever need a sidekick, bring me in to the fold! -Keli Rabon

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Week 8 (The Verdict): Perspectives On The Verdict and Sentencing in Diddy's Trial with Attorneys Judie Saunders and Steven Greenberg
Q: If you could speak to a juror, what would you ask them?
I would want to know what evidence or witnesses they needed to return a guilty verdict on the racketeering charges.
Week 8 (The Verdict): Perspectives On The Verdict and Sentencing in Diddy's Trial with Attorneys Judie Saunders and Steven Greenberg
Q: How do you think this trial will impact future legal proceedings?
This trial could lead to a reassessment of how the government approaches RICO charges in the future, being more deliberate in their prosecution.
Week 8 (The Verdict): Perspectives On The Verdict and Sentencing in Diddy's Trial with Attorneys Judie Saunders and Steven Greenberg
Q: What was your reaction to the verdict?
I was not entirely shocked at The Verdict, especially because this defendant had a well funded defense team, making it difficult for the government to prove the RICO charges.
Week 7 (The Jury): The Jurors, Deliberation, And Possible Outcomes With Jury Consultant Renato Stabile
Q: What could influence the jurors during deliberations?
Jurors may bond with each other and influence one another's decisions, which is why early discussions about opinions are crucial in the deliberation process.
Week 7 (The Jury): The Jurors, Deliberation, And Possible Outcomes With Jury Consultant Renato Stabile
Q: Do you think Combs will be convicted on the racketeering conspiracy charge?
It's possible he could be acquitted on that charge, as it's typically associated with organized crime rather than a legitimate business.
