  • Love it!

My favorite podcast, bar none. I’m a 64 year old man, and don’t even listen to Pandora. Huge fan of Coach Cook, and love his sense of humor. Confession and Lesson is okay, but not the highlight.

  • Thanks Coach Cook!

This was great! As a life long Husker now living in NJ, I’ve done my part to spread the phenomenon of Husker VB. Most people look at me in bewilderment but that’s ok. I just prattle on anyway! 😉

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Nebraska Athletics AD Show - Troy Dannen, Tyler Kai
Q: How will postseason ticketing be handled to ensure fairness among donors, season ticket holders, and the general public?
Postseason tickets are tiered by donor levels and season ticket holder status, with equity measures to reserve seats for fans who are not current donors. There are specific broker policies to prevent scalping, monitoring of secondary markets, and consequences for violations, with plans to apply similar processes to future events like baseball regionals and super regionals.
Nebraska Athletics AD Show - Troy Dannen, Tyler Kai
Q: What is the latest on the arbitration process and the 'associated entity' issue with multimedia rights partners?
The arbitration process is ongoing; the university argues that multimedia rights partners are not associated entities, which affects how deals are scrutinized and delivered. A federal court hearing is set for June to potentially clarify these implications, and in the meantime there will be resubmission of deals under the associated entity framework while maintaining compliance with the house settlement.
Husker Women's Wednesday - Berlyn Schutz
Q: How do you balance academics and elite athletics, and what motivates you academically?
She values learning, relies on a strong team academic culture, and emphasizes balancing studies with training through support from tutors and teammates, while prioritizing studies when needed.
Husker Women's Wednesday - Berlyn Schutz
Q: What does it mean to be a team captain and how has leadership shaped the program?
Being captain is a special role that allows her to model dedication for younger athletes, reinforce team leadership, and emphasize working together toward common goals.
Husker Women's Wednesday - Berlyn Schutz
Q: How did you get into running and what sparked your interest in distance events?
Her love for running grew from an early family involvement in marathons and her experiences in middle school, where she discovered she could be competitive, leading to a sustained passion for distance events.
