  • It’s ok.

I listen to a lot of pods from the Locked On network and the majority of em seem like guys that are actually routing for the team they’re covering…because they are. This one seems more like a couple guys who took a job covering a team. It’s good for info but, if you’re looking for guys to give ya something to route for, this sadly isn’t it.

  • Good daily show! Wish we got some more scoops

Mitch and Connor do a great job handling the tough task a daily podcast presents. They really shine in the late off season and early season, when there is a lot going on.

One ask, and I know it’s hard but the most recent “will he, won’t he?” Raiola conversation was pretty brutal. We’re gonna just speculate like people at my water cooler? I get Nebraska reporters love their access but really? I know Mitch has something to work off of other than speculation.

  • Who Keeps Paying Mitch Sherman?

Going to Mitch Sherman for any legitimate insight or analysis of any kind is like going to a brothel for a hug.

Yeah, you got there eventually, you probably got what you wanted and your itch scratched, but you should be much smarter with how you value both your money and your time.

Love this show. Mitch and Connor are two of the best covering Nebraska sports. In contrast to so many other pods/programs, it is not loud or obnoxious. It is simply intelligent, articulate discussion and analysis.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Nebraska mailbag: What’s bigger in Husker history than this NCAA Tournament win?
Q: What was the bigger stress release for Husker Nation: the first NCAA win or the first bowl win in years?
The consensus leaned toward the basketball win being the bigger stress release because it signaled a historic breakthrough in a sport that long carried more national attention for Nebraska, elevating expectations and momentum across the athletics program.
Nebraska football: Off schedule is now on schedule for Dana Holgorsen’s offense
Q: What is the cheetah package and which players are involved?
The cheetah package is a defensive concept discussed as a front featuring the best pass rushers and coverage players; Aurich suggested it may include players like Jaseer Whittington, Anthony Jones, Williams Wenneri, Sua Lofoto, and others, though the depth chart had not been finalized.
Nebraska football: Off schedule is now on schedule for Dana Holgorsen’s offense
Q: What does Anthony Colandrea bring to the offense and how might Holgorsen adapt the system around him?
Colandrea provides on-schedule and off-schedule playmaking, with a style that requires adjusting receiver expectations and the overall offensive approach to leverage his mobility, extending plays and creating explosive opportunities.
Nebraska mailbag: Might witchcraft unlock success for Husker hoops in March?
Q: What is the outlook for Braden Frager's status with the team for next year?
They believe he will be back next year, with ongoing conversations about keeping him on the roster and growth considerations for the player, balanced by concerns about public perception and privacy.
Nebraska mailbag: You have reason to BUY IN NOW on the Huskers’ offensive line
Q: What is Nebraska's offense going to look like with Colandrea and Raiola or other quarterbacks?
The hosts suggest a mix of run-heavy tendencies with a strong investment in the wide receiver corps, and potential for a more conservative approach earlier in the off-season that could evolve as personnel and coaching priorities shift.
