Fun, funny, informative & smart - Sara and Michelle are entertaining & empathetic as they make the different aspects of running an arts-based business clear, and *gasp* totally do-able!!! Typically dry and uninteresting topics suddenly are chock full of humour and great tips. Listen to the second episode first - these two really hit their stride in it! (Then go back and listen to the first one!)
This podcast said everything that I was feeling in my bones but had been trying to ignore for years. All the advice I come across online tells me that that I should scale, create an online course etc… but the truth is, I don’t want to! This podcast gave a refreshing take on what it means to be a creative business owner. I feel so much calmer now. It’s like I have permission to build a business on my own terms. Thank you!
Okay, so obviously I’m a bit biased here — as I’m one of the hosts. BUT… our industry needed this podcast. We need a place to talk unapologetically about being business owners in the arts, because our industry is rife with toxic business and starving artist mentalities. Here’s to shifting the way we see ourselves as business owners — and doing it TOGETHER.
Thanks, Sara and Michelle, for some real truth telling in this episode! And a ton of support for musicians and teachers of music running their businesses. I’ll definitely be listening to more episodes…
I have been waiting for this podcast for LITERAL YEARS and it is everything I dreamed 💖
