There are relatively few people who understand both, and I’m one of them. As a clinical psychologist I have a doctorate degree and thousands of hours of professional experience providing treatment for mood and anxiety disorders. I also have 39 ye... more

He told me how I feel everyday
Dr Scott Eilers describes depression in a way that I haven’t heard on other podcasts. I was finally hearing it as it really is. I relate to a lot of what he describes and found it fascinating, and in a way comforting.
Unfortunately, like other listeners, I found the advertising was so intrusive I have had to stop listening.
The difference in the volume of the ads compared to the presenter’s voice is huge. I turn up the volume to listen to the podcast and then a shouty Shopify ad is so l... more
I’m sorry to leave a one star review but I’m doing it hoping this will get noticed.
The content of the podcast is great but it’s ruined by the ads. They seem to be injected in the most inappropriate places, and their format is doesn’t suit this podcast at all. They are also louder than the podcast.
If someone asked me how to ruin this podcast with ads, I don’t think I could do any “better” than this.
I really feel Dr Eilers gets it. Anxiety and depression that is. Much of what he talks about resonates with my lifelong experience. His podcast is also entertaining which holds my interest. Just enough self deprecation to be cute but not excessive. I just wish he didn’t need to promote products even if those products are of high quality.
I love the content! But it is quite disingenuous to suddenly be marketing something by sneaking it into the content. No, it is not a relevant product we just need to purchase, it is deceptive marketing. And the actual commercials that are not in your voice are SO LOUD and abrupt. Startles my pets. Such wisdom hidden among the sneaky ads and the abrupt ads.
