Really detailed interviews so descriptive and shocking stories. Great content abs engaging interviews. Looking forward to more episodes!
Feels like eavesdropping on fabulous and interesting dinner conversations. Love this podcast.
Love listening to all these interesting people - especially since they live in HK. Great connections to have and very thought provoking. 👍🏼
On the episode about dating during covid, the guest said that “catfishes are typically black men from African countries”, and that you might “expecting to meet a Norwegian but it’s actually someone rather black” and she doesn’t have anything “against Africans.” For a podcast that is supposedly a platform that welcomes all cultures and race, I found that extremely discriminatory and downright unnecessary and untrue to highlight that catfishes are typically African men. Very disappointed, please d... more
Jules is a fantastic host and a total podcast pro. Highly recommended!
Have several family members that are on line dating and have been scammed. Red flags are not always so easy to spot when your you are hoping and desiring a relationship. This show is wonderful in helping others see those red flags and listening to their gut! Wonderful show! I will be sharing it with my friends and family!
A treat for English language speakers in Hong Kong looking for an informative and entertaining pod.
Jules has animated conversations with an eclectic mix of guest speakers with wide ranging experiences and expertise. I particularly enjoyed her most recent pod with Ray Heath who gave an articulate and informed overview of the gut-brain relationship. Do listen if you would like to better understand this cutting edge area of psychology.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this podcast and can hardly wait to binge listen to all the episodes!! Jules and all her guests are incredible - so brave to be telling these stories - as I'm sure it's happened to more people than we realise!
I’ve done a lot of travel growing up through Europe and now you’re making me want to check out the Far East. Thank you for what you do.
Great podcast with interesting guests discussing amazing topics! You don’t need to live in Hong Kong to enjoy this show!
I love Jule's podcoast. I first started listening to it simply to be a supportive friend. I've know Jule's for at least 15 years having met and become close friends with her when I lived in Hong Kong. I left Hong Kong in 2008, but we've remained in touch.
What began as doing something for her, turned into her doing so much for me. Every episode is full of insight, humor and fascintating topics and viewpoints. My view of the world, a great empathy towards other's stories and an understandi... more
So many great personal stories, from the deeply relatable to the truly adventurous and unfamiliar. I love the variety and up-closeness of this podcast.
Meaning full conversations with real people. I wonder how she finds these guests who are authentic human beings.
Highly recommend!
Like many podcasters Jules asks fantastic questions, but unlike some she always gives her interviewees the space to talk. If you want a taste of HK or an insight into the lives of individuals from all walks of life, you’ll find love, loss, motivation, passion and everything in between. Most of all you’ll hear stories. I haven’t been this riveted to a podcast in a long time!
Always fascinating interviews, extremely well-produced, great sound quality and editing, great host who is skilled at asking questions that draw out interviewees. Highly recommended.
