  • Super knowledgeable and interesting!

I love Angela’s content and guests - a wide range of information you can pick and choose from, depending on what you are interested in. Easy to understand content, science backed and not super long episodes, which can be so off-putting. Thanks Angela!

  • Phenomenal, but need more!

The show is amazing. I love it. I just wish they’d publish more. I need my health fix more times each week. It was great when Angela used to publish three times a week. I could rely on it to pick me up during my lulls in energy. But I’ll take what I can. Superb show

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Silent Heart Risk Every Woman in Perimenopause Needs to Know About | Michelle Routhenstein
Q: Is ApoB the only target, or should other markers be addressed simultaneously?
ApoB is part of a multi-stage process; alongside ApoB, focus on blood sugar, blood pressure, and inflammation, and optimize the environment for arteries to reduce plaque formation.
The Silent Heart Risk Every Woman in Perimenopause Needs to Know About | Michelle Routhenstein
Q: What are the first steps someone with high ApoB should take?
Reduce saturated fat, switch to unsaturated fats (e.g., omega-3 rich fish), increase soluble fiber, manage soluble vs insoluble fiber, and ensure hydration; then reassess after a period.
The Silent Heart Risk Every Woman in Perimenopause Needs to Know About | Michelle Routhenstein
Q: How does ApoB influence cardiovascular risk and why is it so important to test it?
ApoB directly signals the number of plaque-forming lipoproteins in the bloodstream, so higher ApoB means higher risk; targets are personalized based on risk level and other markers like Lp(a).
Why Mobility Is the Longevity Key Perimenopausal Women Keep Missing | Juliet Starrett
Q: What are some weekly practices the hosts recommend beyond a one-hour workout?
In addition to structured training, they advocate daily mobility work, floor sitting for 30 minutes, hanging from a bar to maintain shoulder mobility, varying positions, and integrating movement into daily routines such as work and household tasks.
Sleep Scientist: The Missing Health Habit That Improves Sleep, Stress & Recovery for Women Over 40
Q: What can people do naturally to improve sleep quality and increase deep sleep?
Start with a sleep education program, manage stress with personalized routines, use relaxation techniques and negative feedback from sleep data wisely, consider herbal supports like lemon balm and magnesium, maintain a calming evening routine, and useSleepWell as a potential aid in the context of a broader sleep strategy.
