Excellent podcast, exposes me to a lot of stuff I've never heard of but also covers things I consider to be old tried and true favorites. I really think you guys should watch Warrior of Love Rainbowman.
I was never into podcasts before hearing the Heroes Three. I found them while doing a deep dive into Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest kung fu movies and I couldn't be happier with their work, this is exactly the kind of informative, entertaining and funny content I was looking for! Lots of great information here. Feels like sitting around with friends discussing these great and often obscure movies. I'll keep listening for a long time to come. Thank you guys!
I like the team’s understanding and evaluative acuity,. Keep ‘em coming.
Nice job on the podcast - glad to see the mixture of style and tone. Research done well and on point with references and opinions. Have to catch up on more episodes but liking what I hear so far. Glad to see more dedicated shows on classic martial arts moves we grew up watching!
As an eclectic appreciator of cinema, especially films outside of the mainstream, I enjoyed listening to the Heroes Three discuss everything that’s amazing about these films (and the artists that made them) with great depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. I also love the occasional small details of video store realness they bring to the show, like back-of-the-VHS-box narrations!

A lively, knowledgeable trio dissects Asian cinema with a strong emphasis on classic Hong Kong fare, kung fu, and Japanese genre titles, while weaving in contemporary releases and animation. Episodes balance in-depth analysis, production trivia, and passionate host banter, often pairing historical context with modern availability through Blu-ray, festivals, and streaming. Noteworthy is the consistent focus on era-spanning cinema, cross-genre comparisons, and thoughtful guest contributions that broaden the conversation beyond the core trio. The show is likely to appeal to film lovers who relish deep dives, cult favorites, and behind-the-scenes industry details, with a friendly, fan-to-fan vibe that bridges nostalgia and current releases.
