The combination of subject matter (less well-known horror films) and style (low-key but engaged) is very fortuitous for me. The hosts’ speaking styles are so comfortable from a listening standpoint that I can enjoy any episode.
Smart and funny! I listen to a lot of movie podcasts and I clicked with this one right away. So many podcasts about obscure movies are either laughing at the movies or they’re overly laudatory, but Lance and Erica just want to open up discussions.
Lance and Erica are very knowledgeable and engaging hosts with an amazing awareness of obscure cinema. I have made numerous additions to my home video collection thanks to them. I found this podcast in 2024 and have been bingeing their back catalog for gems ever since. Keep up the great work you two!

Two enthusiasts curate deep-cut horror film discussions, focusing on underseen titles across eras and regions. Episodes often mix rigorous research with playful banter as hosts unpack production trivia, cultural contexts, and overlooked gems, while weaving in community-driven charity efforts and participation in niche festival events. The show consistently highlights lesser-known cinema—from international stories to genre-blending experiments—and leans into thoughtful analysis paired with accessible storytelling. A standout is the strong host chemistry and a persistent commitment to uncovering hidden horror history, which probably appeals to cinephiles who crave discovery, behind-the-scenes trivia, and a welcoming community for obscure film... more
