Be more critical and think of your listeners who blind buy this stuff and not all the cool people from labels you want to pander to.
The new cohost has as much personality as tapioca pudding. The guests who aren’t directly involved with the industry (and podcasters who contribute commentaries do not count) fall between boring and actively grating. I’ve given this a chance to see if it would approve, but I can’t stand most episodes. There’s gotta be a better VS focused podcast out there…
Great podcast that covers Vinegar Syndrome releases month by month. The only issue is the volume is so low on mobile earbuds, I have to max it out just to barely hear the hosts and their guests. Mix it a little louder, please!
If you’re here reading this and have any issues with the show send me a note on IG or Reddit. I’m not a pro and this is just for fun so I would love to hear how to make it better!

A show focused on physical media, genre cinema, and restoration, with deep dives into Made-for-TV releases, archival projects, and boutique label ecosystems. Episodes frequently center on restoration philosophy, licensing intricacies, and the craft of packaging, with guests ranging from label founders and archivists to directors and curators. The tone blends technical detail with industry storytelling, often spotlighting how preservation, accessibility, and community-building drive niche film communities forward. A standout is the hands-on look at restoration workflows, regional rights, and the evolving role of physical media in a streaming era, making it especially valuable for collectors, film historians, and PR/sponsorship opportunities ... more
