  • Not for me!

Dr. Scotti is smart but when it comes to support there was none for ME. I signed up for the special offed for Black Friday, however, it never mentioned that this option was not for one on one support. It ended up being part of the online monthly group (glorified private podcast). I was on layoff during this time from the government and I invested in this? This was MY fought straight up my fought, but I just want to inform anyone who thinks that they are paying money for a PERSONAL COACH, this op... more

  • This guest was so disappointing. At 59yo, I learned a long time ago mindset matters. We are aging so Pivot ladies. She talks like it's the end the world. Dr. Scotti did his best to save it. Appreciate his positivity.

  • life-changing running podcast

As a student with an exercise science degree who is now perusing their doctoral of Physical Therapy degree, I am always looking to learn more about exercise and the body. I grew up being an athlete but was never able to run more than 2 miles up until 2 years ago. I slowly began to increase my mileage and now have run 2 half marathons. Before my first, I wasn’t sure what I was doing and really just signed up for the race because I had been running so much. I continued to run and once I realized I... more

296. Running Through Perimenopause with Coach Emily Fox: Why Your Pace, Energy, and Body Are Changing
Q: What role does strength training play during perimenopause?
Strength training helps preserve muscle and bone density, supports metabolic health, and counteracts hormonal declines; progressive overload with proper form is key to avoiding injuries while building robustness.
296. Running Through Perimenopause with Coach Emily Fox: Why Your Pace, Energy, and Body Are Changing
Q: How should female runners adapt training around their cycles, especially as perimenopause begins?
Track your cycle to anticipate luteal-phase fatigue, adjust tempo and speed work accordingly, and use a cycle-informed plan so you can maintain consistency without pushing through unreasonable fatigue.
296. Running Through Perimenopause with Coach Emily Fox: Why Your Pace, Energy, and Body Are Changing
Q: What exactly is perimenopause and when might runners notice changes?
Perimenopause can start in the early 30s, with gradual drops in estrogen and progesterone causing changes in energy, sleep, and body composition that runners may notice gradually as they train.
295. Can You Run With Achilles Tendonitis? (Why Rest Might Be Making It Worse)
Q: When should you stop running if you have Achilles Pain?
You should stop running if your pain is above a 5 out of 10, if you are limping or changing your running form, or if the pain worsens rather than improves.
