  • The best!

Admittedly I have followed many IG dieticians and influencers. Advice is all over the place and it’s so confusing!! I’m so glad I found Nicole’s account and her podcast. I have found her advice, knowledge and clear message to be the best for me to follow. I was a member of the Ditch the Diet group and may be a new coaching client soon! Nicole and Lauren present the best nutrition and health information and answers in a very relatable way.

  • Recently discovered gem!

Nicole was a guest on another podcast I listen to and I immediately knew I needed more of her in my life! And her podcast did not disappoint! Nicole (and her frequent contributor, Coach Lauren) are relatable, knowledgeable and entertaining. They make complicated topics understandable and have become such an important part of my own health journey; I often think of things they say throughout my day as I’m making food choices! Keep up the awesome work ladies, you are so appreciated!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

348 // Q&A: Creatine, Collagen, Carbs + Fiber
Q: Is there a fiber drink or supplement I can take if I know I'm not going to hit my fiber goal?
Fiber supplements can help, but prioritize whole-food fiber first; they should supplement, not replace, vegetables and other high-fiber foods, and expect only a modest amount of additional fiber per serving.
348 // Q&A: Creatine, Collagen, Carbs + Fiber
Q: Do pickles count as a vegetable?
Yes, pickles count, but they offer limited fiber and micronutrients and are high in sodium; include a variety of fiber-rich vegetables alongside pickles for overall nutrients and satiety.
348 // Q&A: Creatine, Collagen, Carbs + Fiber
Q: Is it okay to eat two slices of bread at one meal, or is that too many carbs?
Carb allowance is contextual; two slices can be appropriate if paired with protein, fiber, and fat and aligned with overall energy needs since the real question is how the meal affects satiety and energy balance across the day.
348 // Q&A: Creatine, Collagen, Carbs + Fiber
Q: What about collagen? Is it helpful at all?
Collagen offers some connective-tissue and skin-related benefits but is not a complete protein and should not replace high-quality protein sources; it may be an add-on for joint or hair/skin support but is overhyped as a primary protein source.
348 // Q&A: Creatine, Collagen, Carbs + Fiber
Q: Should I be taking creatine?
Creatine is well-researched and can support strength, recovery, and muscle maintenance, especially for those already resistance training and focusing on a nourishing diet; whether to start depends on your current training consistency and protein intake, with 3-5 grams daily often recommended if you are training regularly.
