  • The best!

Admittedly I have followed many IG dieticians and influencers. Advice is all over the place and it’s so confusing!! I’m so glad I found Nicole’s account and her podcast. I have found her advice, knowledge and clear message to be the best for me to follow. I was a member of the Ditch the Diet group and may be a new coaching client soon! Nicole and Lauren present the best nutrition and health information and answers in a very relatable way.

  • Recently discovered gem!

Nicole was a guest on another podcast I listen to and I immediately knew I needed more of her in my life! And her podcast did not disappoint! Nicole (and her frequent contributor, Coach Lauren) are relatable, knowledgeable and entertaining. They make complicated topics understandable and have become such an important part of my own health journey; I often think of things they say throughout my day as I’m making food choices! Keep up the awesome work ladies, you are so appreciated!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

362 // Can GLP-1 Medications Affect Your Mood?
Q: A close friend of mine has been taking GLP-1 injections for several months now. Am I crazy or is it actually a side effect from the medication?
The host explains that mood changes are possible but not universal; correlations exist but are not causations, and it's important to monitor mood, consider multiple factors (weight loss, social changes, stress), and discuss any mood shifts with a prescribing healthcare provider to determine if the medication is a contributing factor or if other factors are at play.
361 // Q&A: Creatine, Viral Diet Trends, GLP-1 Side Effects & Progress Setbacks
Q: How can listeners apply coaching principles to their own journey without intensive support?
Focus on building consistent habits aligned with your schedule and preferences, use objective feedback to inform decisions, and view progress data as a tool for learning rather than a verdict on self-worth. If needed, seek guided support to tailor behaviors to your life and reduce extremes or restrictive thinking.
361 // Q&A: Creatine, Viral Diet Trends, GLP-1 Side Effects & Progress Setbacks
Q: How should someone respond when the scale or measurements spike or drop unexpectedly?
Recognize the emotional weight, validate feelings, then use a rational approach: confirm measurement accuracy, assess recent inputs (protein, fiber, workouts, sleep), and focus on whether behaviors are moving in the right direction over time rather than fixating on a single measurement.
361 // Q&A: Creatine, Viral Diet Trends, GLP-1 Side Effects & Progress Setbacks
Q: What about the bean diet that's been circulating on TikTok, where people eat two cups of beans a day?
Beans are fiber-rich, affordable, and can improve satiety and blood sugar regulation, supporting weight management. However, there's no need to adopt a hard two-cup-per-day rule forever; the bigger takeaway is to increase overall fiber intake in a sustainable way and focus on quality, variety, and flexible, long-term eating habits.
361 // Q&A: Creatine, Viral Diet Trends, GLP-1 Side Effects & Progress Setbacks
Q: There's so much influencer content advertising creatine for women. What should I know about creatine for this audience?
Creatine isn't mandatory for every woman, but it can be worth considering if you are strength training, prioritizing recovery, and meeting foundational pieces like protein intake and sleep. It's a well-studied, safe, and inexpensive option that may help preserve lean mass during weight loss and potentially support brain and bone health as research grows.
