I’ve learned so much from Dr. Leslie’s podcasts. She has a gift for reframing all the negative doomsday stigma around migraines I’d picked up from books and Facebook groups, into something positive. I don’t feel condemned to suffering through all the contradictions you’re so good at pointing out around how to use rescue and prophylactic medication. It’s a neurologist-made sinkhole! Thank you for offering hope, sanity and levity, and dispelling the myth of “migraine brain”!
I have listened to 3-4 episodes and there has not been one helpful tip. Don’t waste your time. Every episode is just about a different intervention that doesn’t work to help migraines. Chronic migraine sufferers already know what doesn’t work.
I never miss an episode of Dr Leslie’s podcast. It’s such great information and such a breath of fresh air compared to how migraine patients are usually treated. Her three principles make so much sense!
I have enough of an education and understanding of anatomy and physiology to understand that she is completely off. She literally says an entire piece of broccoli ends up in your liver. It doesn't work that way. Nutrient molecules and blood go through the hepatic portal vein, NOT pieces of food. Also the cohost seems completely braindead and just strokes the main host's ego with vocal fry and and constant "Omggg wow you're like totally blowing my mind."
Thank you for putting out such an encouraging podcast! I thought I was doomed to be sick forever. I was told I would have migraines until I hit menopause, which at the time was a long way away. My breaking point was after a visit to a migraine clinic. I cried for most of the appointment, sharing how was sick 50% of the time and struggled to live a normal life. I shared my desire to try a natural remedy since the drugs were not helping. After crying my heart out, the neurologist prescribed ... more

The show consistently centers on addressing migraines by treating underlying health drivers rather than just masking symptoms. Across episodes, topics span perimenopause, environmental toxins, liver detox, gut health, nutrition, and lifestyle approaches, with a clear emphasis on holistic, long-term restoration over quick fixes. A standout thread is the insistence on individualized plans and informed decision-making, including critiques of conventional treatments and a strong invitation to consult for personalized guidance. The host repeatedly frames migraines as a multi-system issue primarily affecting women and champions a naturopathic perspective that blends clinical reasoning with patient empowerment and practical self-care strategies.
