  • A pair of entitled white guys talk about things they dislike. Hard pass. Just a pair of edgelords trying to be funny and failing at it in a boring way.

There’s a special kind of mind that can gather, synthesize, and communicate the sheer tonnage of information about any one topic. That’s the talent of Nate and Tyler, who bring to each episode a genuine curiosity, charismatic conversation, ribald humor, and give the listener the opportunity to explore their feelings on the complicated nature of so many things in our world. Possibly my favorite podcast out there, I listen to new episodes as soon as I can. I love these guys.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

039 - RapeKits / Labubu - Labubu or Bust ft The Maple King
Q: Why are we doing two topics for one episode?
Because one topic is about how awful victims of sexual assault are treated within the context of modern health care, but the second topic gives a lighter balance to the heaviness.
034 - Smoking - Monkey Research Institute ft Sean
Q: How did you stop?
I quit smoking by associating it with negative feelings, recognizing my addiction, and using cold turkey as my method.
034 - Smoking - Monkey Research Institute ft Sean
Q: How did you start smoking? What was your first cigarette?
I started smoking because we would raid ashtrays for butt ends and sneak out to smoke in the garage.
022 - Jon Stewart - The Nutting Professor ft Grimlockfly
Q: What do you think of Jon Stewart's impact on the Democratic Party?
Jon Stewart has created a celebrity commentariat that conflates his views with moral superiority, contributing to liberal elitism and ideological disillusionment.
021 - Joker: Folie à Deux - This Movie’s Great If You Don’t Watch It ft Mack
Q: What was your experience of the movie like?
It was so awful that I took three phone breaks to leave the theater because I hated it so much.
