  • The masterchef podcast

Wish they would get in more chefs that aren't involved in masterchef and that world of dining. The UK has incredible restaurants of all different styles and price points - this podcast seems rather niche at the moment.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sushi Stu with Nathan Davies
Q: What would you say is the biggest change of direction?
It's reassessing how we do things, moving away from the restaurant model to more events and partnerships with other chefs.
James Knight-Paccheco and Tom Allen
Q: What advice would you give for any upcoming or young chefs who want to enter into the industry?
Be prepared to work very hard, be passionate, surround yourself by good people, and pick the right environment for you.
James Knight-Paccheco and Govind Shepley
Q: How do you find working in the design industry under pressure?
It can be intense as design is subjective, and there are a lot of opinions, tight deadlines, and significant financial implications if mistakes are made. We need to balance creativity with practical considerations.
James Knight-Paccheco and Kelvin Kelly
Q: When did you see yourself moving from that particular job?
I felt like the menus were pretty set. We didn't really deviate from that.
James Knight-Paccheco and Kelvin Kelly
Q: So what's the difference for everyone to know between a braai and a barbecue?
There is a technical difference, but any South African you ask will always tell you that the braai is where it all started.
